Sure to convert even the greatest sprout hater, this delicious side is perfect for any Sunday roast, not just Christmas Day, or you could even try mixing with rice or cous cous to make a great winter salad. Whilst chestnuts are another typical Christmas ingredient, you can swap them for pecan or walnuts if you prefer.

Maple roasted Brussel sprouts with chestnuts

Cut the sprouts in half and place in a large roasting tray with the chestnuts. Drizzle over the maple syrup, olive oil and all spice and toss together to ensure they are evenly covered.
